Jesus replied: “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the Power of God.” – Mark 12:24 (NLT)
The Balanced knowledge and experience of both God’s Word and His Power can remove all our doughts. God is light and love. When we are full of God’s LOVE (In His Words and Presence), all our fears will be casted out as His perfect love casts out all fears. When we don’t focuse on both we eaither become people of Law or hyper spiritists. That is:
1/ We bring ‘life less’ words to the hearers which may also be revealed by engaging ourselves in opposing the genuine works of the Holy spirit power in the life of true minsters and believers.
2/The second is practises which are not supported by the Word of God. We can eaisly be exposed to pride, immorality, demonic influences and in the long run false doctrines if we continue in opposite to the Words of God.
We all need both the Word and the power of God. It may also mean: we all need to be humble before God and each other to be teachable. Or we continue in our errors whichever side we stand, as both the Word and the True Spirit of God doesn’t contradict. They both Agree!
We have to be careful how and what to feed the people God has assigned us to minster, by allowing all ‘healthy’ offices of Minstries the Holy Spirit gives for the benefit of the church of God. When they are properly operate in the body of Christ: His bride can be fully equiped and will have full potential to reach the “Higher Glory place” the LORD has prepared.
Yes! We all need both the Word and the power of God. It may also mean: we all need to be humble before God and each other to be teachable. Or we continue in our errors whichever side we stand.
Whenever we continue in our disagrements because of our prides (caused by ministry success, material success, educational success, family success, etinicity, spirtual gifts, our titles/position, etc..); we can harm the innocent people of God specially the little ones (immature folks) and the name of God will be insulted because of this by outsiders (unbelivers) rather than attracting them to the love and saving grace of our God. We can’t escape ourselves in the long run when we “willfully continue” to oppose the Work of the Holy Spirit and the saving plan of God.
But through our humility, our love and obdience to learn from one another, we can be an instrument of His grace and love. We can be the salt and the light on the Hill who are always faithful to bring Glory to our God!
May God helps us all to properly walk in His word and His power. May He give us the balance between both and descernments to identify the wrong from the right and give us the heart of repentance. May He give us wisdom to correct in love the ‘obedient’ and ‘the teachable’ one. May He guide us in to all His Truths in all our ways. Amen.
